Construction
836 Oak’s inherent value is derived from materials and building techniques used close to a century ago. We have worked to combine the warmth, grace, and beauty of yesterday’s solid brick walls, sturdy wood floors, expansive windows, and ceiling heights from ten to fifteen feet with current materials and renovation techniques. The result is a balanced finished product with extraordinary appeal.
Each 836 Oak unit includes:
- Original wood ceilings in most areas of the building. Exposed wood columns and beams are found in the old section of the building, while exposed steel columns and beams can be seen in the newer section.
- Insulated interior walls, with the unit separation walls incorporating noise-reducing materials. More details can be found in our sales contract.
- Spiral heating ducts in all units.
Welcome
- There are exposed brick surfaces within each unit that compose the exterior walls of the building. This highlights the historic feeling of this century-old building within each unit.
